About Villa Massedonica

Villa Massedonica has been from the thirteenth to the nineteenth centuries the centre of an agricultural estate belonging to the Ginoris, a patrician Florentine family which, in 1737, established the famous Doccia china factory, still in activity. Among numerous distinguished members of the family one can remeber the famous explorer Amerigo Vespucci.

Between 1969 and 1973, the house was entirely restaured by N. D. Maria Giovanna Martini-Bernardi and her husband Fabrizio Manetti, with the help of Architect Niccolò Rucellai. Today it belongs to their children, Marco and Chiara Manetti.
